Individual awards went to:

Most Improved Players – Sophia and Lucy
Best Newcomer – Ben

Ken Vernon, Musical Director said, " We are very proud of our training band. The band is going from strength to strength. It is great that Thurcroft has a training band that people of any age with an interest in making music can join. Everyone works hard and enjoys rehearsals and the events the band takes part in. It is also a great asset to the community and of course means that players can move up into the senior band, securing the future of Thurcroft Welfare Band as a whole."
The Band are very grateful to have received funding recently from The Community Development Foundation. This was used to purchase new polo shirts to use for informal uniform.
Thurcroft Welfare Training Band, meet in the band room each Thursday evening 6pm - 7:15pm. The group is open to anyone of any age with a desire to make music. Expert tuition is available to all
