Thurcroft Welfare Band at Rossington Hall, Doncaster
Located in Thurcroft on the outskirts of Rotherham, South Yorkshire, our band was originally formed by the Miners Welfare Committee for the benefit of Thurcroft Colliers and their families. Despite the closure of the pit, "the band plays on" through competitions, concerts and local community events.
We rehearse each Tuesday and Thursday evening, starting at 7.15pm, in our own band room at the top of West Street, Thurcroft, and our Training Band meets each Tuesday at 6pm prior to the main practice.
We welcome players of all abilities and/or instrument to come and join in any time.
Saturday 7th March - Yorkshire Brassband Championships - Huddersfield Town Hall
The Band performs at a variety of events both formal and informal, large or small.

Thurcroft Band welcomed Percussion Group Nuenen from the Netherlands for a joint concert at Harthill Village Hall
The training band practices are well established with several players having recentlly progressed to the main band.
