Thurcroft Welfare Brassband continued their successful 2016 with a third place in the 4th section at the Yorkshire Regional Brassband Championships which took place at the St George's Hall, Bradford on 5th March 2016.
The Band is busy as usual this Christmas time with concerts at Harthill Church, Herringthorpe Valley Park, Thurcroft Church and Thurcroft Club, as well as bringing Christmas cheer to shoppers at Aldi in Worksop and Tickhill Garden Centre.

Thurcroft Welfare Band performed an evening of brass music at the Wesley Centre, Maltby on Friday 19th June 2015. This was part of a new quarterly program of brass evenings being staged by the centre.

Thurcroft Band once again entertained the people of Harthill, by providing an evening of music from the shows and movies. The second half followed a traditional Last Night of the Proms program featuring Rule Britannia and Jerusalem.

Training band had a great time at their mini solo festival in the band room on Saturday 17th May 2015. It was the first time a lot of the band had played on their own in front of an audience. Although it was a bit daunting for the first timers everyone took part and everyone played really well. As expected it was the adult beginners who were the most nervous - kids seem to have no fear!
Thurcroft Welfare Band recently hosted a very successful concert at St. Simon and St Jude Church, Thurcoft. The concert was a joint venture between our training band and senior band and was
greatly enjoyed by all, young and old.
This was the final concert for the very well liked senior band musical director, Garry Hallas. The band are very sad to see him go and would like to thank him for all his hard work and wish him every success and happiness in the future.
Members of the Training Band has a Christmas trip out to the Rotherham Superbowl.
A great time was had by all.
